Apparently Hans was a Food Network chef http://www.foodnetwork.com/hans-rueffert/bio/index.html and has written a book called Eat Like There's No Tomorrow. Hans is the chef at the Woodbridge Inn in Jasper GA. I
'm now following Hans on Twitter at @hanscooks.
I saw that a portion of Hans' book goes to To the Gastrect Cancer Fund. Funny how nobody told us about it! http://www.gastriccancer.org/
If you've had a gastrectomy sign up so you can help others. Gastrect Cancer Registry https://redcapsurvey.stanford.edu/surveys/index.php?hash=8f14e45fceea167a5a36dedd4bea2543
There's another blog, Guide to Living without a Stomach http://gastrectomy.healthblogs.org/author/gastrectomy/
and of course here's Hans' blog http://hansrue.blogspot.com/ and his website http://www.hanscooks.com/about-hans.html .
Not only did we not talk anyone else who has had a gasterectomy, never found a support group and neither has Cigna nor United Health care referred us to these resources... ARG! Do I sound frustrated???
And there was a Cancer Conference last week in Houston... my daughter lives there! I could have gone to it!
